The Central Florida Real Estate Attorneys’ Council (CFREAC) held their Annual Meeting on September 14th at Historic Dubsdread Golf Club in Orlando. The meeting featured Market, Industry & Underwriting Updates from Ernie Houck, Fund Executive Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Analysis and Melissa Scaletta, Fund Vice President, Associate General Counsel & Chief Underwriting Counsel. The meeting was held as a hybrid event, providing CFREAC members the option to attend in-person or online.
On September 22nd, the Broward Attorney’s Real Estate Council welcomed Mila Schwartzreich, Broward County Property Appraiser’s General Counsel and Director of Administration to provide Insights from the Broward County Property Appraiser. This was an in-person event and Broward leaders implemented COVID protocols to ensure attendees felt safe attending.
Effective October 1, 2021 the Sarasota-Bradenton Real Estate Council merged into the Bay Area Real Estate Council creating one of the largest RECs in the state. BAREC will now serve Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sarasota Counties.
The North Dade & Beaches RECS met on October 13th via ZOOM to host a presentation by John “Jay” St. Lawrence, Fund Legal Education Attorney, and Michael Rothman, Fund Senior Manager, Legal Education, for a program reviewing recent changes to the FRBAR Contract which became effective November 1st.
